Tidal and NetSuite: quotes and supplier invoices without retyping

Keep NetSuite for stock, buying and accounts. Tidal does the typing that happens before it: RFQs become priced quotes, supplier invoices become checked bills, and both land in NetSuite once a person approves.

No change to your NetSuite set up. Connected through its API or an import file.

The short answer: yes, Tidal works with NetSuite. Oracle NetSuite is a cloud ERP used by larger suppliers and supply groups that run several companies or locations. Tidal sits in front of it: it reads RFQs and supplier invoices, prices and checks every line, and after a person approves, creates the Sales Order or Vendor Bill in NetSuite with your own item, customer, supplier and tax codes. Subsidiaries, locations and departments are set on each document, so multi company NetSuite accounts work too.

What Tidal creates in NetSuite

Two documents, each with the codes NetSuite already uses.

Two ways to connect NetSuite

Pick the one your team and your IT partner are comfortable with. You can start with files and move to the API later.

Through the API

Tidal connects through NetSuite’s SuiteTalk web services, which create Sales Orders and Vendor Bills.

  • Documents appear in NetSuite as soon as they are approved
  • Needs one API user with permission to create those documents
  • No files to move by hand

Through an import file

Tidal produces a CSV file mapped for the NetSuite CSV Import Assistant.

  • Your team imports in batches, for example once a day
  • No API access needed
  • Good for a first trial or a locked down set up

What you can connect to NetSuite

Each module is sold on its own.

Quote Desk

RFQs read in any buyer layout, every line priced from your catalogue and supplier prices, and the approved quote sent to NetSuite as a Sales Order.

Tidal and NetSuite, answered

Does Tidal integrate with NetSuite?
Yes. Tidal sends approved quotes to NetSuite as Sales Orders and approved supplier invoices as Vendor Bills. It connects through NetSuite’s SuiteTalk web services, which create Sales Orders and Vendor Bills, or produces a CSV file mapped for the NetSuite CSV Import Assistant if you prefer to import in batches.
Do we have to change how we use NetSuite?
No. Stock, purchasing, invoicing and accounts stay in NetSuite exactly as today. Tidal only replaces the retyping of RFQ lines and supplier invoices.
How do Tidal items match our NetSuite items?
Tidal’s catalogue stores your NetSuite Item beside each product, so every quote line and invoice line is sent with the code NetSuite already knows. The same goes for your Customer and Vendor records and tax codes.
Does anything post to our ERP without a person checking it?
No. A person approves each quote and each supplier invoice in Tidal first. Only approved documents are sent to NetSuite.
Does it work with NetSuite OneWorld and several subsidiaries?
Yes. Each sales order and vendor bill is created with the subsidiary, location and department you map for that customer or supplier.
Can we start with only one module?
Yes. Quote Desk and Invoice Capture are sold separately, and each connects to NetSuite on its own.
How long does set up take?
It depends on how clean your item list and supplier price lists are. We start with a trial on your own documents, then load your catalogue and connect NetSuite, and you run both side by side until you trust the results.
